The Muskegon Community College men’s golf team shot a final round of 305 on Friday and finished ninth in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II golf tournament in Scottsboro, Ala.

The tournament was a four-day, 72-hole event.

Caleb Johnson finished with a 76 on the final day to finish 13th overall and earned All-American honors for the second year. His four-day total was a 2-over-par 290.

MCC’s other fourth-round scores were: Dave Bonter with a 75, Bill Oosting and Marcus Fry with 77s and Travis Clarke with an 80.

Their final scores were: Clark with a 300, Bonter at 302, Oosting with a 307 and Fry at 312,.

South Mountain Community College (Arizona) finished at 13-under part to win the event for the second straight year.
