Montague walked away with a pair of lopsided wins over Whitehall in West Michigan Conference baseball. The Wildcats won 16-1 in Game 1 and took the nightcap 12-2.

Zach Gaule blasted a pair of home runs and finished with three hits and four RBI for Montague. Brandon Stine had two hits and two RBI while Tristen Schultz and Ben Rupert each had two hits and three runs.

“Montague really has a nice team, they outplayed us in every facet of the game,” said Whitehall coach Warren Zweigle. “If we are going to compete, we have got to learn to be more consistent on a regular basis.”

Jake Buchberger posted the win for Montague with four strikeouts and gave up four hits.

Zach Zweigle led Whitehall with a pair of hits, including a double.

Montague scored four runs in the fourth and fifth innings for a Game 2 win.

Rupert finished 3-for-3 with three runs while Stine and Buchberger each had two hits.

Pitcher Chase Casebolt posted the win for the Wildcats.

Noah Robert had two hits for Whitehall.
