The Muskegon Community College men’s golf team won the MCCAA Championship at the Port Huron Elks Golf Course on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks finished with a three-round total of 880 to beat runner-up Grand Rapids Community College by 24 strokes.

Mott CC placed third with a 918 team score.

MCC’s David Bonter won medalist honors with an even par 216 score.

Caleb Johnson (217), Travis Clarke (221), Bill Oosting  (229), Scott Belcourt  (237) and Marcus Fry (237) rounded out the scores for the Jayhawks.

MCC’s next match is the regional championship at Bedford Valley on Monday and Tuesday.
