Muskegon Community College pitchers combined for a one-hit shutout, sneaking  past Ancilla College 1-0 on Friday.

Taylor Lemke pitched the final four innings and forced an Ancilla ground out in the seventh inning to end the game. Ancilla had a runner on third at the time.

Megan VanderWal pitched the first four innings, giving up no hits and walking one.

Sydney Tharp’s bunt single in the fifth inning drove in Kelly Barnes from third to give MCC the 1-0 lead. Barnes started the rally with a single, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch.

Alyssa Telling led the Jayhawks with two hits and a walk.

Brooke Agers, Taylor Sanicki, and Deanna Stickler-Gatson each had hits for MCC.
