Muskegon Community College finished second behind Region 12 winning Owens Community College. The second-place finish qualifies the Jayhawks for the NJCAA Division 2 national championship which will be in Scottsboro, Ala. next week.

The Jayhawks ended the final round with a 916 while Owens CC won with an 884.

Caleb Johnson led MCC and finished third overall with a three-round total of 220.

Marcus Fry’s 231 was good enough for 13th place and Bill Oosting tied for 14th with a 232.

Dave Bonter (239) ended at the 30th spot, Travis Clarke (242) tied for 34th and Scott Belcourt (251) tied for the 45th spot to round out the scoring for MCC.
