North Muskegon used a four-run sixth inning to pull out a 6-2 Game 1 win over Whitehall and erupted for a 9-3 win in the nightcap.

In the opener, the Norse (14-9, 9-3) broke a 2-2 sixth inning tie with a pair of doubles. Riley Draper came through with a big two-run pinch-hit single to spark the win.

Adam Edik led the Norse with two hits and two RBI and Brody Scott had two hits.

Rogan McEvoy and Jake Gautraud each had doubles for North Muskegon.

Adrian Anderson (5-2) pitched a complete game with four strike outs, five hits and one walk.

In the nightcap, McEvoy raised his record to 6-1 with the complete-game, six-hitter while striking out six and walking none.

Edick had the hot bat with three singles, two RBI and two runs with McEvoy chipping in with a double, a single and two RBI. Draper had two singles and Ryan Compeau added two RBI.

Daniel Dubois had a single and a double for Whitehall and Noah Robart added two RBI.
