Western Michigan Christian sweeps past OV in baseball twinbill

Western Michigan Christian traveled to Orchard View Saturday for a doubleheader and came home with two wins.

In the first game, Matt Vanderploeg pitched a complete game. He gave up 13 hits and struck out seven in a 12-6 win.

Sophomore Logan Waller led the Warriors with three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs. Vanderploeg and Jared Varnado each had two singles and a RBI.

In second game, the Warriors came from behind in the top of the seventh inning with two outs to win 11-10. Eric Bourdo pitched a solid game, giving up five hits.

Christian Brower led the way with four singles and an RBI.  Bourdo added a single and a double and Waller had a pair of RBI singles.
