Goals by Jordan Jerome and Kelsey Gensler scored one goal each on Tuesday as Whitehall defeated Montague 2-1 in girls soccer action.

Paige Swanson scored Montague’s goal.

All the scoring came in the opening half.

A long cross from Morgan Kellis found Morgen Myers, who then set up Jerome for the game’s first goal.  Sara Schmiedeknecht drew the assist on Gensler’s goal.

“I was very pleased with the way we were dominating the game with passing and possession, but just couldn’t find the net,” Whitehall coach Dan Nichols said. “We had a lot of opportunities, but the shots were to the keeper or off the mark all together. Montague did a good job clogging up shooting lanes and was an aggressive team.”
