High School basketball has returned!

The 2021-22 girls basketball season kicked off on Tuesday night and area fans were thrilled to be back in the stands. 

Here are your headlines from Tuesday night’s girls basketball matchups: 

Kent City girls basketball shows it is still the team to beat in west Michigan with a convincing season-opening win over Muskegon in non-league action (+PHOTO GALLERY). 

Montague’s Claire Meacham also stepped up in the Wildcats’ season tipoff, tallying 18 points in an exciting win over Comstock Park.
