Ludington captures third straight girls district soccer championship

Jacquelyn Lynch propelled Ludington to its third straight district championship with a 4-1 win over Big Rapids.

Lynch tallied a hat trick as the Orioles offense amassed 25 shots on goal.

Goalie Molly Hallead posted 10 saves for Ludington, which improved its record to 15-4-2 on the season.

Ludington’s Maressa Sarto was key in the win with a goal and an assist.

Maggie Haugi had three assists for the Orioles.

Ludington heads over to Big Rapids to face Grand Rapids Catholic Central in the opening round of regionals.
