Kent City dug itself into a first-half hole against Boyne City on Friday and fell 35-14.

Boyne City built up a 21-0 half time lead and then played even with the Eagles.

Quarterback Jake Krueger did  all he could for Kent City as he scored on a 1-yard run and had a 58-yard TD pass to Shane Rodenburg. Krueger added a 2 point conversion to Rodenburg to cap Kent City scoring.

Krueger passed for 118 yard and was 7-of-17 while Rodenburg had 3 catches for 95 yards.

Defensive leader for Kent City was KJ Herrmans with 12 tackles.

Boyne City rushed for 212 yards and Corey Redmond threw a pair of touchdown passes on 6-of-11 pass for 99 yards.
