Fruitport quarterback Luc Kostamo was a scoring machine Friday night, running for two touchdowns and passing for two more as the Trojans downed host Fremont 40-19 in a Lakes 8 conference matchup.

Kostamo opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 38-yard touchdown run, then added a 4-yard touchdown run before halftime.

He also hit Mitchell Reyes for two eight-yard touchdown passes.

Kostamo finished with 248 all-purpose yards, with 13 rushes for 103 yards and 9-for-19 passing for 145 yards. Reyes added a 37 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown for Fruitport. Jason Carmean chipped in with a 17-yard interception return for yet another score.

The Trojans (1-1) raced to a 26-0 lead at halftime and never looked back. Fremont had a 19-14 edge in the second half, but it was too little, too late for the hosts.

Fremont quarterback Christian Wade had 11 completions for 117 yards and one touchdown. Jared Smith added 70 yards rushing for the Packers (0-2).
