Matt Iacopelli, who is expected to be an offensive threat this season for the Muskegon Lumberjacks, has commited to play for Western Michigan University when his United States Hockey League career has concluded.

Iacopelli, a native of Brownstown, scored 26 goals and added 22 assists for the Belle Tire midget major team last season. He will play forward for the Lumberjacks this season.

The Lumberjacks open the regular season Saturday in Green Bay, then open at home a week later against Indiana.
