MCC pushed Jackson Community College into overtime on Saturday, but the Jayhawks couldn’t hold on and fell 3-2.

Timera Crosby struck first in the contest for MCC with a goal on an assist from Linsye Haan. The Jayhawks played to an even 1-1 tie at halftime.

Second half scoring was opened up by MCC’s Ashlee Taylor who tallied her goal on an assist from Crosby.

Jackson’s K’sha Conquest set up the game-winner after she was taken down in the penalty box by an MCC defender. Stephaine Perez found the next on the PK and Jackson came out on top.

“The ladies played well today, but the score doesn’t always dictate how well you played,” said MCC coach Joshua Watson. “Linsye (Haan) plaed a very good game. Timera Crosby played her best game in an MCC uuniform so far.”
