Spring Lake overcame a sluggish start to top Fremont in four sets.

After the Lakers dropped the first set 27-25, their backs were once again against the wall with a 20-18 deficit. But ball controlled improved, Spring Lake nerves settled down and it came out on top 26-24 in Game 2.

“After losing set one we had to improve on our ball control and settle down to run our offense,” said Spring Lake coach Sarah Bulthuis. “I liked the way we were able to stay focused and make the small changes necessary to win.”

Spring Lake went on to win the next two sets 25-13 and 25-14.
