The Whitehall Viking varsity volleyball squad opened its West Michigan Conference season with a three-game win over the Pirates.

The Vikings won in convincing fashion, 25-6, 25-12, 25-6.  Whitehall is now 10-2-2 (1-0) on the season.

Whitehall was led by Julie Brown, who finished with seven kills and seven digs, while Rachal Brown contributed five kills and five blocks in the win. Alyssa Myers had 31 assists and 10 aces, and Jenna Pesch added five kills, six aces and 10 digs.
