Mona Shores went to work against Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills on Tuesday in boys soccer. The Sailors jumped ahead early and won 6-0.

Destin Morley put Mona Shores on the board first as the Sailors rallied to a 4-0 halftime lead. Morely’s goal came off of a Nathan Hoover assist.

Jake DeRemer added two first-half goals and Devin Buit tallied one of his own to lead Mona Shores to the early lead.

The Sailors added two more goals off the feet of Grant Fortenbacher and Adres Smith in the second half.

Christian Zurchauer and Kevin Quigg led Mona Shores in assists with two apiece and Blake Yin tallied one.

Eli Bowers posted the shutout in goal for Mona Shores as the Sailors outshot the Knights 14-3.

The win put the Sailors back in first place in the OK Black as Zeeland East fell to Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday. The Sailors face off against the Chix on Thursday.
