Fruitport sneaks past Hudsonville 2-1 in non-league soccer

The Fruitport soccer team wrapped up a successful regular season Thursday with a 2-1 victory over Hudsonville in non-league action.

Zach Gilson scored in the first half to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead. Hudsonville tied the game in the second half before Fruitport’s Andrew Frost scored the winner with an assist from Bryant Rebone.

Conner Deneen had six saves in goal for the Trojans, who finished the regular season with a 14-3-3 record.
