Mason County Central let a close volleyball match against Shelby slip through its hands. The Spartans fell in five games to the Tigers.

Shelby fell behind 1-0 after MCC won 25-22. But the Tigers were able to rally games two, four and five.

Game Four was a particular battle that Shelby was able to  pull out 26-24.

“In the last two games, we stopped hitting the ball as hard and couldn’t get the momentum going our way,” said MCC coach Mary Scheffler. “We need to work on finishing strong, especially in closely matched games like tonight.”
