Muskegon Heights falls to Manistee in nonconference football game

Muskegon Heights dropped to 1-5 on the season with a 34-14 loss to Manistee on Friday night.

The Tigers were led by quarterback Ontario Porchia who completed 9-of-18 passes for 128 yards.

Jeff Jordan caught for passes for 78 yards and Maleek Briggs rushed eight times for 64 yards to lead the Tigers.

James McBride led the Muskegon Heights defense with seven tackles, John Manurs recovered a fumble and Briggs intercepted a pass.
