Nick Scarpino scored midway through the second half Saturday, giving Grand Haven a dramatic 2-1 victory over Jenison in the championship match of he Division 1 district soccer tournament.
Zac Thomas scored the lone goal of the first half, giving Grand Haven a 1-0 lead. Jenison’s Tyler Dempsey tied the score with an early goal in the second half, before Scarpino settled the issue.
Goalkeeper Garrison Mast posted the win for the Bucs, who advance to next week’s regional tournament.
