Spring Lake rolls past Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills to earn district soccer title

Spring Lake’s boys soccer team was firing on all cylinders Saturday in a 5-0 Division 2 district championship win over Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills.

The Lakers jumped out 2-0 halftime lead and never looked back.

Kyle Zietlow led Spring lake with a goal and two assists while Keegan George had a goal and an assist.

Kaden Kendall, Alec Palmer and Vincente DelaCarrera each added goals for the Lakers.

Spring Lake outshot Kenowa Hills 11-4. Goalkeepers Joe Czajka and Bailey McCarthy combined for the shutout for the Lakers, who advance to regional play next week.
