Grand Haven took one step closer to its goal on Thursday with a district championship win over Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills.

The Bucs won in three games, 27-25, 25-10, 25-20 and advance to the Class A Regional where they face Rockford. The semifinal match is set for Tuesday at Caledonia high school.

Krysteena Davis, Ally Knoll and Jami Hoegboom led Grand Haven at the net combining for 12 blocks. Davis finished with five blocks and 12 kills. Hogeboom had three blocks, 27 assists and three kills. Knoll tallied four blocks and five kills.

Taylor Craymer played on both sides getting 15 digs and eight kills. Emily Lachmann helped keep the Bucs offense alive with 20 digs.
