Third-year Muskegon Community College men’s soccer coach Ben Ritsema and sophomores Eric Hilt and Zachary Sutton tallied some well deserved accolades this season.
Ritsema was honored as the MCCAA Coach of the Year after his team finished 12-6 in the regular season and made its way to the Region XII semifinals. Quite an accomplishment for a program that just completed its third season.
Hilt and Sutton both earned First-Team All-Region XII and were given All-MCCAA honors.
The Jayhawks also had four players make honorable mention All-MCCAA. Brandon Gillikin, Brandon Prim, Loghan Stong and Riley Kammeraad we honored. Kammeraad was also named to the MCCAA All-Freshman Team.
