The Western Michigan Christian Warriors made quick work of Muskegon Heights Academy in district volleyball on Thursday night.

The host Warriors defeated Muskegon Heights 25-4, 25-13, 25-6 on an evening when Coach Ed Bailey was able to get good playing time to his entire roster.

Maria Ma led WMC (40-12-2) with 10 kills and nine aces. Ashley Oosterhouse had 16 sets and Katie South had seven aces. Emma Rudd had five digs.

WMC will take on Saugatuck in the Class C district final on Friday night. Saugatuck defeated Holland Black River in the second district semifinal on Thursday night.

“We started the season expecting to win districts, but I’m sure that  our opponent had the same expectation,” WMC coach Ed Bailey said. “I think we match up well against them, but I’ve been in this sport long enough to know not to make predictions.”

The district winner will advance to the regionals next week in Schoolcraft.
