FRUITPORT – In what would have been in years past a premier event was just a three-set sweep as Whitehall made quick work of host Fruitport at Wednesday’s Class B district semifinal.
Whitehall won 25-15, 25-20, 25-14.
Alyssa Veihl led Fruitport with 24 assists and 13 digs, while teammate Francesca Cerniglia finished with 13 kills and 14 digs in the loss.
No Whitehall stats were submitted.
Whitehall moves on to face Spring Lake at Thursday’s district final match, after the Lakers defeated Oakridge 3-0.
