MUSKEGON –  Trailing by just four at the half, the Western Michigan Christian Warrior girls basketball team looked in good position Friday night to comeback against River Valley Conference foe Covenant Christian (5-2).

Instead, the Chargers took control of the contest in the final two frames, outscoring the Warriors 38-13 in that stretch to provide the 54-25 Covenant win.

Covenant’s Holly Hunderman finished with a game-high 18 points, with teammate Arika Englesma added 12 in the win.

Seniors Anneliese DeKam and Sarah Hughes, and junior Lindsey Johnson all paced the Warriors (2-4) with six points each. Johnson also finished with seven rebounds and three assists, and junior Alyssa Wright added five points and four steals for WMC.
