The Hesperia’s girls basketball team suffered a tough 63-34 loss against Big Rapids Thursday in Central State Activities Association action.

Hesperia was outscored in each quarter, and only managed to score in double digits in the second quarter.

The Lions managed to keep the game within reach and trailed by seven at the end of the first half, but were unable to score enough to contend in the second half.

Hesperia was led by Lauren Zeerip with 12 and nine rebounds. Mariah Stitt added eight points for the Panthers.

Hesperia’s fell to 1-1 and face Fruitport Calvary Christian on Friday.
