Kent City met a very strong DeWitt team and fell 57-29 at the Davenport University Holiday Tournament in girls basketball.
The Eagles couldn’t stop DeWitt’s explosive offense in the second and third quarters. DeWitt held a 25-15 halftime edge and went on a 22-5 run to set up 47-20 lead before the fourth quarter.
Meghan Boyd led Kent City with nine points and Bailey Freeland had five.
Natalie Knauf and Lilly George paced DeWitt with 10 points apiece.
