The Oakridge girls basketball team jumped out to a 17-2 lead after one quarter, then cruised to a 62-26 victory over North Muskegon Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action.

Coach Doug Clark of the host Norse summed up the game this way: “Oakridge played great defense, and rebounded tremendously, limiting us to one shot per possession, if their defense even allowed a look at the basket.  They did a nice job against our zone, finding the seams, penetrating and hitting their slashers.  When we gave them a little room, Morgan Giddings hit 4 three point attempts and Hannah Reinhold had 3.”

Reinhold finished with 21 points, Morgan Giddings totaled 19 points and four steals, and Sam McGhan added nine points and 11 rebounds for Oakridge,

Abby Clark paced North Muskegon with 10 points while Olivia Duncan and Keah Brown had six apiece.
