The Reeths-Puffer girls’ basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season by defeating the Whitehall Vikings 52-39 in nonleague action Tuesday night.

The Rockets were led Camaryia Williams who had 16 points and seven rebounds. Kalisa Williams also tallied 16 points in the winning effort. Under the basket, Elysia Mattos grabbed seven rebounds.

Whitehall was led by Emily MacArthur who had 17 points, seven rebounds and two block shots. Brandi Balzer had seven points and five rebounds while Janelle Uganski added six steals and six rebounds.

“We played intense for most of the game,” Whitehall Coach Rachel Kent stated after the game. “We were a little more sluggish than we played last week, but we never stopped competing.”

Whitehall dropped to 2-1 on the season.
