Blake Siersema posted a career high night in Fremont’s 76-59 non-league basketball win over Montague on Monday. The senior center scored 30 points with 10 rebounds and seven blocks.
Jacob Kaastra’s 10 assists was another career high for the Packers who had 26 assists as a team and led by 27 points early in the fourth quarter. Kaastra also scored 12 points in the win.
“We came right out and played extremely hard and efficient,” said Fremont coach Pete Zerfas. “We played 32 minutes of good basketball, not just one good half.”
Dylan Krim came through with strong minutes for Fremont, finishing with 12 points, five assists and five rebounds. Daniel Geeting added eight points for the Packers.
Luke VanBoxel paced his Wildcats with 25 points, four assists and three steals. VanBoxel now has 982 career points with an approaching Fruitport matchup on Tuesday.
Also leading Montague was Chayce Lohman who put in 15 points.
