The East Kentwood girls basketball team defeated Grand Haven with a strong second half performance 36-35 on Friday night in an OK Red Conference showdown.

The Buccaneers (8-2) led 23-15 at halftime, but East Kentwood closed the gap in the third quarter trailing 30-26 after three quarters.

The comeback was completed in the fourth quarter on a 10-5 run by East Kentwood.

East Kentwood (3-5) was led by Amari Brown who had 14 points, while Faith Lee added six points in a winning effort.

Taylor Craymer’s 14 points led the Buccaneers, while Amanda Merz added 10 points.
