Fruitport Calvary Christian ran out to a big first quarter lead in its 63-47 win over North Muskegon in girls basketball on Monday. Taylor Richards started the break with 11 points in the quarter.

The Eagles led 18-8 to start the second quarter but North Muskegon responded by cutting the lead to six at halftime, 32-26.

Taylor Richards led with a game-high 25 points and Allison Richards scored 16 for Fruitport Calvary Christian.

North Muskegon’s Anna Osborn scored 12 of her 20 points in the second quarter and finished with six rebounds. Abbey Clark kept the Norse close in the fourth with her 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
