MUSKEGON – Most coaches say that if he or she can keep things close into the fourth quarter, their respective teams have a chance to pull out a win.

But that wasn’t the case Friday night for Reeths-Puffer (1-2), as the Rocket boys were outscored 16-2 in the fourth quarter to fall to Hastings 47-28 in OK Crossover basketball action.

Tied 12-all after one, the Saxons took a narrow 21-19 edge into the locker room at the break, and led by five after three.

But Hastings (2-3) came alive in the fourth, exploding for the decisive points in the final frame to win going away.

Deandre Oakes-Owens led the Rockets with 10 points, while Hastings’ Alex McMahon finished with a game-high 17 points in the victory.
