The Muskegon Community College mens basketball team dropped its fifth straight contest Tuesday afternoon, falling to Grand Rapids Community College 80-56.

Trailing 28-21 at the halftime break, the Jayhawks struggled in the second half, surrendering 52 points to GRCC in the final 20 minutes.

Sophomore Jake Anderson (Grant High School) led MCC with nine points and 11 boards, while freshman forward Turaen Conor (Kenwood High School, Chi.) added  13 points.

The Jayhawks shot just 28 percent for the game and struggled at the free throw line as well.

GRCC was led by Demarcus Stuckey and Courtney Hill with 16 points each.
