The Mason County Central boys basketball team’s strong first half led to a 57-26 victory over Hart on

Friday night in a West Michigan conference matchup. The Spartans had 10 players score in the win.

The Spartans jumped out to a 32-12 halftime lead and led 48-18 after three quarters.

“We did a nice job of playing defense for a full four quarters and our bench played solid throughout the game and a lot of guys contributed.” Coach Jeff Tuka said after the game. “ That’s the way we need to play going forward.”

Coltyn Tyndall’s 13 points and four assists led the Spartans while Josh Ritzema and Johnny Shafer had 10 points each.

Hart was led by James Freeman and Brandon Amstutz who each had seven points. Matthew Wilson led under the basket with nine rebounds.
