The Montague boys basketball team returned to form Wednesday night, improving to 3-6 overall with a 56-33 victory over nonleague foe Mansitee.

Manistee led 15-11 after one, but Montague went on to hold the visitors to just six points in each of the final three frames, outscoring the Chippewa 45-18 in the final 24 minutes.

Montague sophomore guard Jacob Buchberger scored a career-high 21 points, shooting a blazing 54 percent on 7-for-13 shooting, while also grabbing four steals in the victory.

Senior Luke VanBoxel poured in 19 points for the host Wildcats.
