Muskegon Community College could not get over the hump in its 73-62 loss to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Saturday in men’s basketball.

The Jayhawks trailed 40-33 at halftime and had cut the Cougar lead to two possessions several times inside the 10 minute mark in the second half. But KCC had responses for each MCC run.

Montague graduate Chase Casebolt led MCC with 19 points including a sizzling 5-of-8 shooting from behind the 3-point line. Turaen Conor scored 14 points to pace the Jayhawks.
