Host Oakridge notched a West Michigan Conference win Friday night, dispatching Montague 62-49 to improve to 3-3 overall.

The Eagles trailed 12-10 after one quarter, but sprinted to the 24-21 lead at the break. A big third quarter, where Oakridge outscored the Wildcats 22-13,  gave the hosts the lead for good.

Senior guard Austin Wright had an outstanding night, scoring a game-high 30 points to go with four steals and seven rebounds, while senior Jerick Wambaugh had eight points, Tony Cury had six points, and Nate Wahr added five points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.

Senior Luke VanBoxel led Montague (2-2) with 15 points, with senior Chayce Lohman adding 11 points in the loss.
