The visiting Reeths-Puffer Rockets girls basketball team improved to 7-2 Tuesday night with a valuable 55-44 OK Black Conference victory over Grand Rapids Union.

The Rockets blasted out the 15-6 lead, and took a 30-19 edge into the locker room at the half. Things were even the rest of the way.

Reeths-Puffer freshman guard Elysia Mattos led all scorers with 17 points, and sophomore guard Kalisa Williams finished with 15 points, while her cousin Camaryia Williams added nine points in the win.

Union (2-2) was led by Tyra Williams, who finished with 14 points in the Red Hawk loss.
