Shelby tops Spring Lake in girls basketball

Spring Lake’s late rally fell short as they dropped a 43-41 nonconference girls basketball game to host Shelby on Monday night.

The Lakers trailed 36-27 entering the final quarter, but closed the gap with a 14-7 run in the final quarter.

Chloe Sillman and Tristen Moore both scored 13 points to lead Shelby.

Kelsee Zuidema and Olivia Grimmer scored 11 points apiece to lead Spring Lake.

Zuidema added 10 rebounds for Spring Lake.
