Senior post player Bernard Smith proved unstoppable on Thursday night.

Smith scored 27 points and added 16 rebounds in the Western Michigan Christian Warriors’ 59-44 boys basketball victory over the host Reeths-Puffer Rockets.

Smith scored eight points in a first quarter that saw the Warriors (13-6) take a 19-8 lead. From there, the Warriors cruised to the victory. WMC led 32-18 at the half and 46-33 after three quarters.

Jacob Ray added 10 points, including a monster two-handed slam dunk. Seniors Alex Rop and Sam Mast each pulled down five rebounds.

Joey Olson led the Rockets with 12 points, all on 3-pointers. DeAngelo Williams, DeAndre Oakes-Owens, Tristan Wright and Jalen Cooley each scored six points for the Rockets.
