The Tri-County girls basketball team maintained a tight grasp on its spot on top of the Lakes 8 Conference with an easy 65-39 victory Tuesday over Grant.

The Vikings led by one at the first buzzer, but blew the game open by outscoring the Tigers 42-16 in the second and third quarters.

Kaylee Caverley led a balanced Tri-County scoring attack with 23 points. Three other Vikings scored in double figures.

Laura Bouwkamp and Alyssa Male each had 12 points for Grant.
