Fremont girls basketball team advances to Class B district semifinals with win over Grant

The Fremont girls basketball team advanced to the Class B district semifinals with a 46-30 win over Grant on Monday night.

The Packers advance to play Sparta on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Grant High School.

Fremont took control of Monday’s game with a big second quarter.

The Packers led 8-5 after one quarter and increased the lead to 20-8 at halftime.

Marissa Spickerman led the Packers with 17 points and Hailey Lensky added 11.

Laura Bouwkamp led the Tigers with 14 points and five steals and Alyssa Male added six steals.
