Johnson’s 21 points paces Spring Lake in win over Montague girls

Reiko Johnson’s 21 points led the Spring Lake girls basketball team to a 55-35 win over Montague Tuesday night.

The Lakers (12-6, 8-2) jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the first quarter and led 40-25 after three quarters.

Kelsee Zuidema added nine points and 12 rebounds, while Courtney Kyser had eight points and nine rebounds for the Lakers in the win.

Hailey Cockerill’s 10 points and Elyse Taylor’s 7 points led Montague ( in a losing effort.

The Laker girls remain on top of the Lakes 8 Conference.
