Whitehall’s Matt Russell scored 28 points as the Vikings earned a 53-45 nonconference win over Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday night.
“Whitehall made layups and protected the lane. We missed layups and didn’t protect the lane,” said Reeths-Puffer coach David Ingles. “We played three sophomores and a freshman most of the second half. Those four guys scored all but four of our points.”
Deandre Oaks-Owens paced R-P with 14 points, six rebounds and four steals.
Freshman Luke Schumm added 12 points for the Rockets.
