Muskegon Community College snapped a three-game losing streak to beat Lake Michigan College, 84-79 in men’s basketball on Wednesday. Marquise Hatter hit all four of his free throws in the last minute of the contest to lift the Jayhawks.

Hatter  led MCC with 22 points and seven assists and Tyiwan Jones tallied 20 points, six assists and seven rebounds.

MCC took an early 49-43 lead at half and held a six point lead through most of the second half.

The Jayhawks shot 50 percent from the 3-point line and had 11 3’s as a team.

Turaen Conner shot 8 of 12 from the floor and finshed with 18 points and Chase Casebolt chipped in 14 points for MCC. Riley Angeli had five assists and Conor Bradley had three assists.

Lake Michigan College was led by Ken Coasts with 32 points and Alec Brown with 22 points.
