Shelby dug itself in too deep against Orchard View in non-league girls basketball action on Saturday. The Tigers fell 50-40 as their offense struggled in the second and third quarters.

The Cardinlas jumped out to a 17-12 first quarter lead and led 37-28 to start the fourth quarter.

Tristen Moore led Shelby with 15 points, three blocks and two assists while McKenna Inglis added seven points, two assists and two steals. Chloe Sillman scored five points and had three assist.

The Tigers were plagued with 28 turnovers.
