Ravenna didn’t let a late double digit deficit get in its way from a West Michigan Conference boys basketball win over Hart on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 60-51 overtime win over the Pirates.

Trailing 36-23 to start the fourth quarter, Ravenna scored 24 points in eight minutes to force over time. The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 15 points in the win.

“Our guys made the decision in the fourth quarter to put in the effort required to make a come back,” said Ravenna coach Mark VanderWal. “This team is learning what they are capable of when they give 100% effort and we are working to get everyone doing it, all the time.”

Ravenna built too much moment for Hart to stop them in overtime. The Bulldogs outscored Hart 13-4 in the extra period.

Four players put up double figures in a balanced attack for Ravenna.

Jake Sied led as he nailed four 3-pointers to finish with 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Conner Beehan also stepped up for Ravenna with 16 points.

Alex White played his top game of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ravenna had 13 offensive rebounds as a team for second chance shots around the basket.

Austin Sied finished with 11 points and shot seven of eight from the free throw line for the Bull Dogs.
